China Trip Diary

This was a long day of travel. We left home to get to the airport around 10:00 that morning, traveling to Ohio, then on to LAX.

Today, after a few short hour in China, Julan became our little girl. A short bus ride and they delivered the babies one by one to each in our group.

This morning we woke after a full night's sleep... Yes, Julan slept thru the night without a peep.

​After all the excitement of the first 3 days, today is our first real day of leisure.

​Today was a welcomed relief after the last few days. Jolene is feeling much better today, but more than that, Julan is finally becoming our daughter.

​Today we finally got to go out on the town. What an incredible country and culture.

​The only official work done today was receiving Julan's Chinese passport to take to the US consulate early next week.

After the heat of yesterday, we decided to take it easy today. They were celebrating the Dragon Boat Festival today.

​We never made it to church this morning, there was some confusion as the to time and place. We trust God will forgive us.

​We're finally getting ready to come home! We're getting homesick! Today we started the paperwork for the US visa and had Julan's final medical checkup.

​Today we finished everything we need to do but leave! We received all the paperwork from the US consulate then did the swearing in.

​This marks the final entry for a while. We'll be leaving the hotel and heading to the airport in a couple of hours, so it's time to pack up the camera and computer.
